Our Mission, Vision, Beliefs, and Core Values

Our Mission:

Our mission is to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ

...by creating environments where people are encouraged and equipped to Elevate the Gospel, Inspire Growth and Unleash Compassion.

Our Vision:

Our vision is to be a relevant and exciting church for unchurched people.

Our Beliefs:

About the Scriptures: We believe the entire Bible is inspired from God’s imagination and that men were moved by the Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, the Bible is full of mystery, but without error.

About God: We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the spiritually un-reconciled world.

About Mankind: We believe that man was created in the image of God to have a friendship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.

About Salvation: We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his sin.

About the Christ-follower’s life: We believe that every Christ-follower should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Scriptures and daily yielding to the Spirit, every believer should mature and become conformed to the image of Christ.

About the Church: We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to an unresolved world.

About Baptism: We believe that baptism is an outward signification of the grace of God in the life of a believer. It is symbolic of salvation, not part of salvation. Since it is a symbol, we believe that only those professing a personal faith in Christ should be baptized.

Our Core Values:

Intimacy with God: An imperfect person can know God up close and personally.

Biblical Authority: The Bible is a true story about God’s dream for humankind.

Relational Evangelism: Introducing people to Jesus Christ happens best through familiarity and partnership.

Authentic Community: A significant life is only possible through significant relationships.

Strategic Investment: Worthy endeavors require worthy sacrifice—people give something of value to gain something of greater value.

Relevant Environments: Wisdom is best received when it parallels real life—words, examples and stories from the everyday.

Intentional Apprenticing: There is no success without a successor. Jesus was clear about the great responsibility and reward that comes to his followers when they pass on wisdom, skills and opportunities to others.

Global Compassion: Love reaches beyond emotional sympathy and physical borders. It is inspired actions that ripple down the street and around the world.
